For those of you still struggling to know how to reach the Hotel, this is the right link where you can find all the indications: http://www.eapc2013.eu/?page_id=930&lang=it
On Friday 17th right after the conference we will visit together the Castello Sforzesco located in the centre of Milan. After a warm welcome by a representative of Milan, you will be gently guided through the history of this town. Indeed, the castle is an important piece of Milanese history. It has always represented a symbol of the power in the hands of the Dukes, as well as of the foreign dominators and only at the beginning of the 20th century it has assumed its distinctive role, becoming a place of culture.
After the tour we will all be free to enjoy the best ‘cucina italiana’ and the parties of the Friday night in Milan -please, keep some energy for the day after!
On Saturday 18th a bus will take us a few kilometres outside Milan, in the gorgeous Fortress of Cassano D’adda located in the countryside of Lombardia, next to the river Adda. The fortress was built in 1261 by the Archbishop of Milan Ottone Visconti. In the XV century Ludovico il Moro hosted here Leonardo da Vinci, who, after studying the fly of the birds from the castle, experimented his first flying machine.
The gala dinner will take place in the amazing location of the duke’s apartment, where the frescos on the ceiling and the traditional Italian cuisine create a unique atmosphere.
Friday night is an informal occasion so feel free to dress casual; while we are sure you will be willing to take pictures with your best outfit for the gala dinner at the exclusive restaurant of the Visconti Fortress.
